Shaw benefits from extensive blue chip
recruitment experience. Before buying Ascend with
his partner, he was a Recruitment Manager with
Schlumberger Sema, a FTSE100 IT company, working
specifically within the Telecoms Division.
Liaising closely with HR and heads of business, he has successfully recruited
people at all levels (Help Desk Operator to Head of EMEA) and salaries
(£8,000 to £250,000). Major areas of experience include technical
and management consulting where he successfully built up an entire team.
In addition to recruitment in the UK, Toby spent time building new consulting
teams in France & Germany, as well as carrying out a feasibility study
and developing a business plan for a recruitment centre in Malaysia.
Before working for Sema Group, Toby spent 2 years at the Spring Group managing
accounts with Standard Chartered Bank, HSBC & MCI Worldcom.
Prior to working in recruitment, Toby gained experience installing and
supporting PCs, networks and audio visual systems. He attended Royal Military
Academy Sandhurst and studied Economics at Humberside University.
